Room Service

Tonight we went to the play "Room Service" at the Hale Center Theater. The Hale Center Theater, in our experience, never puts on a bad production and this is no exception. We both enjoyed it, though having seen the Marks Brothers version; Cynthia kept seeing too many Marx Brothers mannerisms which reduce the experience some for her. It was fun and we’re glad we got to go--Thanks for the Tickets, Mom & Dad.

Chess

We (Alan & I) got to go to the musical Chess. It was our second time seeing it, the first time was in Georgia and it wasn’t great . . . or even that good. The production in Atlanta was more about the performance (which somehow included ballet) than the story. The UVU performance was amazing. We loved it! Tonight’s performance was well told, well performed, and they sang a lot of the songs from the original soundtrack (not in the order that I am used to, but in the order for this version of the story). I felt like a groupie being moved to tears partially because I was seeing the songs performed for the first time.

Restaurant Review...no, Eatery Evaluation…no, Food Box: Go or No Go

The Training Table
2250 N University Pkwy, Provo, UT

Meh: The burgers are bland and the so-called "World-Famous Cheese Fries" are nothing but mediocre fries with cheddar cheese melted on them. The bright spot is their lemonade, it is fantastic.

Alexa wrote the following in her composition book:
Mystery
[Does] Danny love me?
Clue #1: He stole my pencil.
Conclusion: No, he's just a jerk.

Kid's Korner

The other day Kellie said she hated being tall. I asked her why and she said, “Because I can't hear my friends.”

A Fantastic Day to Be an American

When I voted last November I left my polling location excited to be part of the American political process. I may not necessarily be happy with the outcome of the presidential election but the process worked—the person most people wanted to be the president won.

President Obama was rightfully elected the President of the United States of America. He is not the president of the liberals; he is the president of the United States. President Obama isn't even close to my choice for president however he is my President and I will respect the mantel.

Because I'm an American, President Obama is my president and I will support him but I will not support him to the point of sacrificing my values. I will not be like the whiners that complained about everything President Bush did just because they didn't like him. If there is a policy I disagree with I will talk about the policy I will not sink to the level of people for the last eight years and attack the person.
